But what's left to achieve when most of your dreams have come true? Behind the Scenes: Creation of 13 Tongues – Ep. 2 Bodies
“You should incorporate the Bangka that you see, your own life experience in Taiwan, and your emotions into the dance.” (「把你自己看到的艋舺、把你在台灣生活的經驗、把你的喜怒哀樂——放進去舞蹈。」)

In Bangka, you can observe the body language of people you don’t usually run into elsewhere: performers in religious processions, disabled people peddling incense sticks, to name a few. Their body language may not be aesthetically pleasing and can even be awkward at times, but when these motions are strung together with an artist’s vision, they become a fascinating collage — one composed of moments from people’s lives immortalized in a dance piece.

Eslite Scope - Leslie Wang: Painting Food from All Over the World
Leslie, a designer who's very enthusiastic about drawing foods, traveled to many European countries to create. She returned to her home country Taiwan in the hope of learning more about it. But the decision to relocate came at a cost: The sales of her paintings dipped, and she had to develop other merchandise to survive. After going through a tough transition phase, she embarked on a round-island trip, hoping to paint at restaurants frequented by locals in every corner of the nation.
