From Africa to Taiwan: A Young French Author Journey in the World

Travelholic, thinker, storyteller, this is how you know Arnaud Campagne.

Campagne, who came from France, spent a beautiful childhood in Africa. However, his global mobility was not a fad. At the age of 19, he moved to Kaohsiung to study at Sun Yat-sen University. He later returned to France and graduated from Sciences Po Paris, an elite school that gave birth to six French presidents and countless multinational CEOs. When he entered the European Commission as an intern, the biggest social movement in France in 60 years erupted, which radically altered his view of life.

He should have successfully embarked upon a grand path, but it was not his nature to assemble A-teams only. Witnessing the Yellow Vest Movement, he gazed long into the abyss and confronted the true meaning of work. Ludicrous and meaningless, he had his moment of epiphany on how most white-collar jobs were.

So he hit on the brake and U-turned. He left the European Commission, followed his instincts, and returned to Taiwan for a deep dive, where he has published a novel and is also working for a new media outlet, proudly speaking up for Taiwan.
