整理以前寫過的文章。

大一下時，剛好也修了台灣文化相關的通識課，該電影經過修復，重新搬上大螢幕。該片片長達三小時。

當時在華山看完了以後，除了覺得電影很好看以外，也得趕緊找個地方上廁所呀。

如果沒記錯，那時好像看到陳可辛導演，坐在所有座位的中後方；但導演看完電影以後，很快速地消失了。

以下為essay。當時的我，好像對於小明的行為很生氣呀。

Innocence

Innocence is often seen as a self-disclosure without any calculation. The character is mixed with fairness and fragileness. However, innocence is not what you think. Take the movie, A Bright Summer Day as an example. Ming, a precocious, homeless teenager with her sick mother, fools boys around to seek attachment and power. True innocence is crushed through socialization. And innocence on the surface is constructed to shadow the truth beneath. Here’s how “innocence” works. People who reveal great innocence are in need of protection. The spellbound are then driven to be protective and possessive. A mutual beneficial relationship is based upon the image and imagination of innocence. But what people are unaware of is how deceitful innocence can be. Evilness is coated with innocence. It becomes a clever scheme to trap the gullible. Ming, the poor girl, is seen as the symbol of innocence. Sadness clouds her delicate face. Silence is the remark she most makes. Therefore, Little Four, a boy at her age, wants to protect and love her. Gangsters like "Airplane" and "Honey" come to argue after he dates Ming. It turns out that Ming sobs her misery out to every new leader among the boys. Shockingly, the so-called innocence lies in illusion. Her visages look innocent. Her temperament is innocent. Her intention, however, is plotted. After the fight stirred by Ming, Little Four is expelled from the group. Not until the segregation does the dark truth dawn on him. In the end, Little Four painfully stabs Ming in the stomach, breaking down to tears. Ming's “innocence” callously devours his belief in humanity. As we see it, innocence is actually a game of power relations. When something hinges on a sentimental attitude toward the diminutive and weak, be aware of it. It can't be innocence. It can either be a disguise or a deception that masks the complexity of scheme.
